EMC to Showcase Transformational Video Storage Technology at IBC2011 Conference

EMC Corporation (NYSE: EMC) today announced that it is showcasing a complete line-up of EMC Isilon storage technologies to support advances in the creation, management and delivery of entertainment and news content at IBC2011 (Stand 7H10). IBC is the leading global tradeshow for professionals engaged in the creation, management and delivery of broadcasting media and entertainment.

EMC will showcase new EMC Isilon products including the world’s fastest Scale-out NAS system and also demonstrate largest single file system at the event. The EMC Isilon S200 Scale-out NAS system is the new industry performance leader based on independent benchmark measurement by the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation (SPEC®). According to the latest SPEC testing data – which measures networked file performance and overall response times – the Isilon S200 Scale-out NAS platform achieved record performance of 1.1 Million NFS IOPS and 1.6 Million CIFS IOPS trumping competitors by more than double their closest results.

EMC is also demonstrating its new Isilon IQ 108NL hardware product featuring the 6th generation of its OneFS file system. Isilon is the only Scale-out NAS system to reach more than 15 petabytes in a single file system, providing maximum scalability in building a storage foundation suited to the demands of content creation and delivery.
